Message from Mayor Elect Randy Greenlaw coming soon.

Township Council established Economic Development as a strategic priority for the municipality in the fall of 2009, the goal was to foster an environment that attracts new businesses to the Township and shows those that already call Oro-Medonte home that they are a valued part of our community.

The 2018-2022 Economic Development Strategy was finalized in 2017, implementation of the prioritized goals contained within the strategy guides the Township's business development activities.

The Township's convenient location in Simcoe County provides businesses with a distinct strategic advantage. Easy and direct access to Highways 11, 12, 93 and 400 connects you to the rest of Ontario while also allowing you to recruit talented employees from a vast area.

The enhanced and expanded Lake Simcoe Regional Airport, with its ongoing upgrades, is also centrally located within the Township just minutes from Highway 11.  Fully serviced by the Canadian Border Services Agency, the airport maintains a Commercial Port-of-Entry status, allowing for accommodation of both international passengers and freight.

Oro-Medonte is in the heart of Orillia & Lake Country tourism region, this is also local destination marketing organization whom the Township works closely with to promote and connect all of the local tourism assets.

Explore beautiful Oro-Medonte, our township has so much to offer, discover the incredible opportunities that await you and your business! Oro-Medonte is a great place to live, work and play!
