Declaration of Significant Weather Event - December 6, 2024

Environment Canada has issued weather warnings across Northern Simcoe County.

These forecasted warnings could create conditions favourable for localized hazards including:

• accumulations of 15 to 25 cm’s of snowfall, with peak snowfall rates of 3 to 6 cm’s per hour;
• very poor to near zero visibility at times in heavy snowfall areas;
• and possible freezing rain.

As a result, the Township of Oro-Medonte is declaring this Significant Weather Event under O. Reg 239/02 effective Friday, December 6, 2024 at 9:00 p.m. until further notice.
