Parking – Winter Recreational Activities
The Township has parking lots that provide off-road parking close to Lake Simcoe, being Bayview Memorial Park, and the Line 9 Boat Launch. These parking lots offer free parking.
In recognition of the winter recreational benefits enjoyed by people using Lake Simcoe, parking along specific roads is permitted for winter recreational activities on Lake Simcoe. To assist individuals looking to park along Township roads, while enjoying Lake Simcoe in the winter, click on the attached link for maps outlining the permitted parking areas for winter recreational activities.
Parking Permitted for Winter
Parking is permitted for recreational purposes between December 1st, through to April 1st, of the following year, along the roadways of the locations identified below. Any vehicle parked within the locations identified shall not be deemed to be interfering with winter road maintenance.
Please note: No person shall park a vehicle on any Township road or municipal lot between 2:00 a.m. and 12:00 p.m.
