The role of Corporate Communications is to ensure the information we provide to the public and our stakeholders is accurate and trustworthy, while supporting the effective communication of services, programs, and events to the community.
The Communications Strategy and Plan is comprised of a set of standards and policies to provide a consistent and clear approach in the delivery of our messages in support of Council’s priorities and their strategic plan.
Customer satisfaction surveys conducted in 2014 identified a need to enhance communications, which Council made a priority in the 2015-2018 Strategic Plan. Based on this feedback, staff began the process of updating the existing Communications Strategy.
